We got to thinking in the office about the first albums we ever bought or received and the first concerts we ever attended and thought it would be fun to share. Enjoy our nostalgic (and sometimes embarrassing) trips down Memory Lane:

Jerry Bruno
First Albums: Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis, much to his father’s chagrin.
First Concert: Neil Diamond and the Young Rascals outside (it rained) at Chippewa Lake. Circa 1965, Jerry was donning his Beatle boots and matching haircut.
 

Scott Jones
First Cassette Tape: “Thriller” by Michael Jackson, a christmas present.
First Concert: The proper first was Jimmy Eat World at the Symposium with about 12 others in attendance. But the first BIG experience was Green Day at Blossom, when the rowdy crowd made headlines by tearing up the grass.

Kim Adamo
First Album: ELO, a christmas present.
First Concert: Shaun Cassidy at the Richfield Colliseum with her family.

Leigh Peterson
First Album:  Claimed some of her older brother’s albums, like “Thriller,” “Chipmunk Rock” and “Urban Chipmunk,” but the first album of her very own was “More of the Monkees.” Yes it was vinyl…while she could have bought the cassette tape, the album had bigger pictures. Purchased at Musicland in the mall with a $10 (paper) gift certificate circa 1985.
First Concert: Weird Al Yankovic at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair. Her mother had to assure her it was “really him,” as she couldn’t believe a famous person had come to her town. He put his left foot behind his head and jumped on his right leg, and when someone in the crowd threw him a banana, he ate it…without peeling it.
